COLORADO SPRINGS — Ahead of their fantastic opening in Colorado Springs, Scheels is rewarding associations locally.

Homefront Military Networks and Project Healing Waters both got checks for $10,000. The two associations work to help military veterans.

"It helps us, there are such countless individuals who need help nowadays. The COVID-19 emergency has been a test and caused all the more requirements for us. Around a little over half of calls for help are influenced by the pandemic, and we need to ensure we can make them entire and flourish locally," Kate Hatten with Homefront said.

Scheels said they endeavor to give 10% of benefits back to the local area.

The store opens in the Springs on Saturday, March 27.
